Fault wasn’t of the wind,
it had ever been so
cold and overwhelming.

It greeted each the same,
whether delicate feathers
or rocks to name.

“Was the fault of the kite,
wishing something bold-
a mighty flight?”

Nay, the kit was born to rise,
taught to reckon nothing
but reach the height.
